Boy Talk

I love this picture of Michael because it shows a glimpse of the toddler that I miss so much! Yesterday I received an email from Michael's teacher telling me that when she told him I was awesome for always helping her he replied with, "My mom is more awesomer than you even know. She is awesome. She even helps me clean my room!" Then when I picked him up from school and told him that I thought he was awesome too he told me I am the best mom in the whole world!


Mr. Mason makes me laugh all of the time with the honest literal way that his brain works. A few months ago I took him to a bridal shower at Mike's Aunt Gina's house. Then a few days later we were all going to her house and Michael mentioned that we hadn't been there for a long time and I told him that I took Mason and Maddox there the week before for a bridal shower and Mason says "yeah but we didn't even shower at the shower." Then the other day I hosted a baby shower for my sister Kristen and so we borrowed a punch bowl to use. Mason had heard me call it a punch bowl a few times so when it came time for me to make the punch he pulled up a chair and acted so interested in it.  Finally after watching me for a few minutes he asks "when are you going to punch the bowl mom?"


Mr. Mad pants is such a silly boy as you can see. He is really starting to talk now at 19 months and is doing really good. His best words are go, dad, ball, more, but the cutest and funniest one that he says is banana. I will have to take a video and post it because it is hard to put into words how he says it but he starts with the ba and then to make the nana sound he sticks his tongue in and out of his mouth fast so he says balala. We just love it!


I don't know how I got so lucky to have such a great family but I can guarantee there is not a moment that passes by that I am not extremely grateful for the life that I have.
